Richard L. Pittman Marine Corps League Detachment 1231

ABOUT US

We are the Richard L. Pittman Marine Corps League Detachment #1231 located in Champaign-Urbana Illinois. We meet at 1900 (7pm) every 3rd Thursday of each month at the VFW Post 630, 1030 East Main Street, Urbana Illinois. Full membership is open to Active, retired, and prior service Marines and FMF Corpsman. Auxiliary membership is open to anyone dersiring to support and aid the Detachment.

The photo to the lower left is of the presentation of Richard L. Pittman's burial flag by Commander Ronald Dudley of the Loda American Legion Post 503. The Detachment will be hosting an open house and dedication ceremony of this flag in rememberance of Richard L. Pittman on Saturday, 21 February, 2026.
